Grateful Girl
I think it’s a little silly that we all blow Thanksgiving up and make this huge deal of being “thankful” one day out of the year. Don’t get me wrong, Thanksgiving might be my all-time favorite holiday – I’m a true foodie and love the sentimentality of a Thanksgiving feast. However, that’s the only day I ever hear “let’s all go around the table and say one thing we are thankful for”.
Here’s the thing – I am totally guilty of this. I have so many things/people/moments in my life that I’m thankful for, and yet, I don’t really talk about those things any other time. And I should be talking about those things all the time! They are the best parts of my life and I, for one, need to be better about giving thanks for them and to them. So I think I’m going to do a few separate posts this month highlighting some of what I am most thankful for.
I would bet that most of you could guess the first one seeing as how she’s the only thing I’m ever talking/posting/ranting about! That’s right – it’s my fur child, Louis V Woods. As dramatic as this sounds, I think she saves me a little bit every day.
My heart is so full every morning when I wake up to her sweet face. I’m grateful for that.
She loves me, unconditionally. Without question, she is ecstatic to see me, every time that I come home. I’m grateful for that.
She’s shown me that my heart can love harder than I ever thought possible. I’m extremely grateful for that.
I’m so grateful that I was granted the opportunity to rescue the sweetest soul because she makes my life great every single day.
What are you guys thankful for today?
