Love Language

Giving gifts is definitely my love language. There is no greater feeling than having a loved one open my gift to them, and knowing that I got it right.

Gifting is one of my better talents. I don’t know if I can recall ever giving a gift that the receiver didn’t like. I’m not telling you this to sit on my high horse – I just want you to understand why it’s going to be hard for me to not buy Christmas gifts for everyone I love this year.

Yes, I did allow “gifts for others” to be a part of my rules, but the fact of the matter is that all of my loved ones have EVERYTHING they could ever need. Instead of showering them with gifts, I plan to shower them with my time and love, because that’s much more important than another wrapped package under the tree.

I won’t be using all of that money I save for myself either. That is not the point of this exercise. I want that money to do something good for someone who truly needs it. There are so many humans and animals that need our help and I know that my donations can a make a difference for some of them this winter. As I look into other ways I can spread goodness this holiday season. I’ll be sure to keep you posted!
